This company was known for other brands as well, including Old Oscar Pepper and Mattingly and Moore.              Prohibition Era: In 1920, during Prohibition, Frankfort Distilling Company was one of the six companies granted a permit to sell medicinal whiskey, which allowed it to continue operations legally.
